Seeing spots

I love the polka dot; it expresses the black and white theme without being monotonous or repetitive

In the 1930s, Frank Sinatra sang about a woman clad in “polka dots and moonbeams” and that same decade the world began a love affair with this now-classic print. There's a reason Minnie Mouse is never parted from her dots, and we love the polka, particularly when it gets a little bit of a fresh spin.

Nicobar’s design team loves a bit of nostalgia, which is why you’ll find these graphic dots sprinkled across our spring line. One of our favourites, the polka dot dress, is feminine, retro, and super-chic, and a great tribute to the pattern.

“I love the polka dot,” Aparna Chandra told us. Our in-house style guru and the head of our clothing team continued, “It expressed the black and white theme without being monotonous or repetitive.” The dots also cameo in the evening collection, where they’re dusted onto Chanderi fabric, fusing freshness with tradition.

This full moon’s extra special, and we’ve got prices to match.
