The details

Look close: sequins along the pintucks

A round neckline, no sleeves and an easy shape that flares at the hem. The stripes shift direction as they go, so the eye keeps moving. Ivory shell buttons finish the centre front.

A fine line of sequins follows the pintucks, front and back.

Craftsmanship

Yarn-dyed cotton silk, silver rose foil

It begins with the yarn: 85% cotton and 15% silk, dyed before weaving into cobalt and ivory stripes, with a light, polished finish. Silver rose foil and sequins are laid over the stripes for a delicate flash of light. The hem is finished with a fine red edge.
