The details

Look close: gold zari at the V

A V-neckline, edged in gold zari bondi with a fine zari jali at the centre front. Three-quarter cuffed sleeves, each closed with a grey shell button. Side pockets and a baby hem keep the long A-line practical.

Small flowers are scattered all over, in foil and pigment print.

Craftsmanship

Cotton silk, foil print, antique lace

It begins with the cloth: 85% cotton and 15% silk, light and fluid, in bright chartreuse. The all-over print is laid on in foil and pigment, so it glints when the light catches it. Twisted loop antique gold lace finishes each cuff.
